Genesis 2:15-17; 3:1-13, 24 - The biblical doctrine of sin, though often maligned and misunderstood, offers us the best explanation for what's wrong with the world. Genesis 3 shows us how sin entered the world and what its' catastrophic consequences are, and it points us towards the only hope we have for overcoming it.
